Savannah's 21st!

Snack
The first ever picture taken with my new camera! The plan for the night was to see "Date Night" downtown and then make our dinner reservation at 9. I snacked on this cinnamon roll lärabar to tide me over.
yum yum lärabar!

Dinner
As a surprise to Kelsey I picked up some Righteously Raw Chocolate at the co-op! They had goji berry, açai, plain, and maca flavored but I chose carmel.
We snacked on one bar during the movie. Which, by the way, was really good! I laughed out loud a few times cause Steve Carrell and Tina Fey are hillarious!
After the movie we walked to the restaurant which was middle eastern cuisine. The restaurant was called Zytoon and it looked magical with all the lights!
We were seated at a table that had these bell, ballerina flowers and lemon tree right above us.
There was a beautiful fountain in the middle of the plaza.

There was a fire right in the middle of the table!
The vibe was complete with middle eastern music and a belly dancer!
Chelsey (Savannah's sister), Savannah, belly dancer, and Kelsey.
Gettin funky!
The Beautiful Sistas!
Vegans do need a little extra time to browse menus ya know. By the way, since this was a special occasion, Kelsey and I decided to relax our raw-ness for dinner and just enjoy ourselves. Middle eastern food is always a good vegan go to anyways!
Savannah's first bottle of legitimately ordered wine! Lucky for us it was also the waiter's 21st birthday. Later on, he sent us a free bottle of wine!
Pretty girl :)
They brought out this oil mixture of sesame seeds, thyme, onions, and tomatoes.
Pita bread for dipping.
As an appetizer the table ordered some falafel, a definite favorite of mine.
My falafel standards are pretty high seeing as how I was lucky enough to eat falafel in both Germany and Israel. I really liked that this falafel was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Also, it had really good flavor which is a must!
My entree came with this side salad which had a fantastic dressing.
I got the vegetarian dish which included tabbouli, hummus, baba ghannouj, and falafel.
I topped my salad with all the various deliciousness from my plate. Man was this good! The baba ghannouj was espacially tasty.
They brought out a slice of banana cream pie for the birthday girl!

Kelsey and I had some raw chocolate for a little something sweet.
When we got back home we popped the champagne Chelsey brought for some serious celebrating! After a few glasses I was definitely feeling it and we has some serious heart to hearts haha. Drunk girls!
We ended up staying up way too late and I was feeling empty and yes, a little tipsy so I just grabbed some almonds and raisins and called it a night.
It was a very successful birthday celebration indeed. I will definitely be going back to Zytoon if I can help it! I had my eye on the stuffed grape leaves for a return adventure!

Thank you! I'm really happy with my new camera. I know I can make him last just as long as my late kodak.
