A Burrito During Finals is Standard, Right!?

I may have had seconds...it was just too good!
Snack
Later I headed to the library to crank out a paper. I had such a late breakfast that I didn't think I needed a lunch but I did bring some snacks. I tried to be quite with these carrots!!
Later I busted out this Mountain Mix Clif bar.
Savannah gave me the rest of her trail mix woohoo! We were at the library waaay too long! By the time I finally left it was already 10PM and I was starving!
Dinner
I was so not in the mood to try and cook something so I caved and bought myself a burrito!
I tried to do the cut it in half save one for later method...but I was too hungry!
For a little sweet treat I used half of a banana, sprinkled it with chocolate chips and nuked it for 15 seconds.
I still had a chocolate craving so I made some hot chocolate and that was it!
I was a little too full after all that but I just keep telling myself, it's finals week, this week is crazy and it's almost over!

Outside Lunches are Finally Coming Back

Lunch

It really is a beautiful day out today so I sat in the sun and enjoyed my little lunch. Kiwi sliced up, baby carrots, apple slice up, and a peanut butter pretzel Mojo Clif bar.
I just needed to show how tasty these bars are. There were so many little peanut butter chips on this one, woohoo!
After lunch I whipped out a piece of my favorite gum: Five: Flare (cinnamon).
I'm blogging from the library ooo! I have choral conducting in thirty minutes so I think I'll go practice a little.

My eyeball is still twitching :( I have been trying to have less caffeine lately by having chai tea instead of coffee in the morning...I hope this twitch isn't related! It makes me want to just close my eyes and go to sleep (like I did yesterday) but I can't do that, there's too much to do! I may cave and have some coffee just to see if it makes any difference.

Off to the practice room!

Snacks, Carrots, and Cookies.

Lunch

I packed myself this lunch and a chai tea to go with soy milk.
I made it to campus early like I wanted! I practiced for an hour before class and had my lunch afterwards. I had it cold this time and it wasn't as good but still alright.
Yogurt is so tasty!
Kiwi!
I was going to save this for later but I just really wanted it. Mojo bar!

Snack

After my voice lesson I had to rush to the ENT. I munched on these carrots and peas on my way.
My appointment went really well and afterwards I went to Costco! I just really wanted some free samples. I sampled this Acai juice.
I was so hungry after browsing all the delicious Costco food that I just couldn't wait. I grabbed an individually packed baggy of carrots and hummus!
Ahhh so good!
I also bought a big box of these Clif Z Bars. This is the chocolate brownie flavor.
It was so chocolaty!

Dinner

When I got home I decided to make cilantro pesto. I got the recipe from the Whole Foods app on my iPhone. First I toasted some pine nuts and pecans.
This vegan parmesan is gluten free and makes life easier when you're making pesto.
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3/4 cup cilantro
  • toasted pine nuts and pecans
  • 1/2 tsp. ume plum vinegar
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • generous shake vegan parmesan
  • salt
Voila! It came out perfect!
I cooked up these mushrooms using a little water.
This salad is courtesy of Savannah! She didn't want it anymore so I happily took it off her hands.
Dessert

I am on a sweet kick or something tonight. I just can't seem to turn off my sweet tooth! I started with a berry pudding...
Then I added a cookie!

Or two.... (or three?? oh no!)
I guess tonight was cookie Thursday or something. I have a really long day tomorrow:
  • 9AM-11 cover shift for Daniel
  • 11-11:50 20th Century Analysis
  • 12-12:50 Anthropology
  • 1-2 Studio
  • 2-4 Work
  • 7PM call for Choir Concert
  • 8PM Concert begins
  • 10PM Choir Party!
At least I'll have some time to eat dinner at home but I will barely have time to breathe tomorrow during the day! I better go to bed immediately if I expect to be functioning during all of this.

I hope your Friday rolls around a little less jam packed! All I know is Saturday is going to be as restful as possible and will include exercise of choice, laundry, nail painting, and possibly a movie!

Sweetness!

Snack

Number 2! During the choir break I was somehow still hungry and fought with myself about whether or not to eat this Mojo Bar.... But obviously I decided to do it!

Dessert

After choir the girls and I stopped at McConnell's for some FroYo! As a vegan I don't eat frozen yogurt anymore but there's always sorbet! I got Tangerine sorbet with mochi and strawberries. Delicious!

The sorbet had a strange consistency and was sort of sticky and stretchy.
I could probably eat an oatmeal cookie but I've already had way too much sugar for tonight! I have to crank out a two pager about my experience at the museum and then I am putting myself straight to bed. In fact, I think I will get ready for to go to sleep and then write my essay in bed. Brilliant! I love it when I'm smart haha.

Finally Friday!

The weekend is finally here!!!!!!

Snack

After anthropology and before studio I ate this banana. Perfect on the go food.
Lunch

I went to work after studio and I was prettttty hungry the whole time! When I got home I ate the salad that I had originally made to take with me but decided to leave it.
  • mushrooms
  • cilantro
  • bell peppers
  • scallions
  • avocado
On the side, crostini, olive paste, and bruschetta!

For "dessert" a dipped Mojo Clif bar.
I am having an intense bottomless pit stomach moment! I cut up half a banana, mixed in walnut pieces, and drizzled it with a chocolate sauce I made myself. To make the sauce I mixed:
  • 1 tsp. coconut oil
  • drizzle of vanilla extract
  • spoonful of gourmet drinking chocolate powder
I microwaved it for a few seconds, stirred it all up and drizzled away!

I don't understand why I just couldn't be satisfied with anything!!! I just decided to finish the other half of the banana with a scoop of peanut butter and be DONE!
It's Shabbos!! I won't be able to take any pictures of dinner tonight but there are always amazing salads, hummus and couscous! I'm going to keep it light and enjoy myself.

Could've Been Better...

Lunch

I was huuuungry on campus today but I planned to stay until after my voice lesson and that's what I did. I had a Mountain Mix Clif bar while I worked on some music.
I love these things.
After my voice lesson and some running around I treated myself to an Acai Antioxidant smoothie from Jamba Juice.
Dinner

For dinner I made a big salad with
  • cherry tomates
  • cucumbers
  • avocado
  • mixed olives
  • mushrooms
  • cilantro
  • scallions
  • salt and pepper
Also a slice of of the Pumpkin and Black Bean Casserole.
For dessert I had a slice of Skinny Figgy Bar!
I was doing good until I relaxed a little too much and decided I was still hungry... Savannah and I went to a New Composers concert to hear some contemporary music and I brought 3 pieces of crystallized ginger and about four chocolate covered blueberries as a performance snack. When I got home I just needed some granola apparently!
I really didn't need to eat as much as I did tonight and I am embarrassed and disappointed but all I can do is better next time. It could've been worse I guess :(

Tomorrow is a long day but at least it's FRIDAY!!
